Biographical Note for GARTNER'S DUCT

Gart·ner \ˈgert-nər\ , Hermann Treschow (1785–1827), Danish surgeon and anatomist. Gartner discovered the duct that now bears his name in a sow and in 1822 wrote a detailed description. The structure was apparently first discovered by Marcello Malpighi about 1681.
